Join us at Saving Grace Animal Sanctuary where we'll learn how to be a Furst Responder for our pets and afterwards say hello to some amazing farm animals.
This class is conducted outdoors, so please dress in layers.
This class is full. Thank you!
What you'll learn...
In our hands-on classes, you'll learn about situations that are common and not so common when living and/or working with dogs. And you'll learn exactly how to handle them.
You'll learn how to perform proper CPR and rescue breathing, how to check for a pulse and what a normal pulse is.
You'll learn to recognize signs of a medical emergency, but more importantly, how to avoid them in the first place.
You'll learn how to put together a first aid kit for your pets and the key items to put in it.
You'll learn how to gain and utilize help from bystanders.
During your 4-hour class, you will receive a 100-page manual for reference and refresher long after you've left the classroom. You will have hands-on and scenario-based training as well as lectures that include visuals, videos, and demonstrations. Everyone is welcome to participate at their own comfort level.
While we put our focus on dogs, we do include information on cats. Most of the information and techniques used in class is translatable for cats and the manual has even more direct guidance when handling a cat situation.
We are certified through the ECSI Institute.
